What do you do here? What is this place? We are a gymnastics facility designed specifically for kids and offer classes to children of ages 18 months and older. In addition, we have Kids Play Nights throughout the year.
Do you have free play? All our classes are tuition-based and involve ongoing education. We offer open gym for students who are of age 8 and older, to practice skills.
What happens if I miss a class? If you miss a class for any reason, please call the office to schedule a makeup class. ** Remember makeup classes cannot be rescheduled. Holiday Closure’s do not apply as they fit into the 48-week 2020 calendar.You can schedule a makeup up to 30 days after an absence. After 30 days, the makeup has expired. You are ONLY allowed to schedule one makeup class per month.
Do you offer trial classes? Yes, we offer trial classes for all children of all ages. Trial classes need to be set up with the office at least 24 hours before hand. The trial fee is 10 dollars.
Is there a family discount? Yes, in your immediate family, we do offer family discounts. 1st student pays full tuition, 2nd sibling is 25% off, and 3rd sibling is 50% off.
How fast will my student move up levels? Each athlete is being evaluated in class. When your student is ready for more challenges, a higher-level class will be recommended by their coach.
What to wear? A leotard or any athletic clothing that is form fitting. No buttons or zippers please. Bare feet (for better traction on beams and trampolines.) Long hair pulled back. Leave all jewelry home. No gum, of course. -Clean hands, feet, face & body
Can I switch classes at any time? Yes, if there is availability in the class. Please call the office to switch classes.
Is there an annual registration fee? No, there is no annual registration fee, although there is lifetime registration fee that is paid when you first register.
How do I drop a class? To drop one class, make sure to call the office as soon as possible to request to drop one class.
How do I cancel my membership at Four Stars Gymnastics? To un-enroll from FSGA, you must submit your request with our drop form that you are able to pick up at the office or you can download it from our website. Upon receiving your request, we will update your enrollment accordingly. No refunds or credits will be issued for missed classes. If we’ve already charged you for the upcoming month you are responsible for that month’s tuition. There are no refunds.
What happens if my payment is late? If your card did not go through on the first of the month, there is a grace period until the 5th to pay tuition. On the 6th of the month, there is a $10 late fee. Please make sure your tuition is paid by the end of the month, or you risk of losing your spot in class.
Why “Four Stars” and not five? The gym was originally owned by 4 different people, which is why it was named “Four Stars Gymnastics Academy”. Currently, there is only one owner.
What is the balance beam used for? The balance beam is a cube / rectangular object an artistic gymnastics apparatus, as well as the event performed using the apparatus. Both the apparatus and the event are sometimes simply referred to as "beam".
What is the vault used for? The vault is an artistic gymnastics apparatus on which gymnasts perform, as well as the skill performed using that apparatus. Vaulting is also the action of performing a vault. Both male and female gymnasts perform the vault.
What are the uneven bars? The uneven bars or asymmetric bars is an artistic gymnastics apparatus. It is made of a steel frame. The bars are made of fiberglass with wood coating, or less commonly wood.
What is the floor used for? It is used by both male and female gymnasts. The event in gymnastics performed on floor is called floor exercise. The English abbreviation for the event in gymnastics scoring is FX. A spring floor is used in most competitive gymnastics to provide bounce.
What is the Tumble Track used for? The Tumble Track is a long trampoline used for tumbling skills and to work towards stretching out their tumbling.
